Father and daughter chainsaw carvers Lonnie & Laurie Glines are coming in from Harrison, MI. Lonnie is a former equipment rep, who was in search of a carver for fair and customer open houses. The carver he hired became a good friend and mentor, who taught him the art of chainsaw carving for 8 years before he passed away. His daughter, Laurie, started carving after Lonnie had an accident where he almost lost his left arm in September, 2021. Laurie’s husband is also a chainsaw carver and will be carving during the festival. He started carving in 2018 as a hobby, but would like to do it full time in the future. The Glines family will be demonstrating live chainsaw carving throughout the festival. You can also check them out on Facebook under timberartlonnie or on Tictok under Laurie Glines. They perform on-site carving of tree stumps, and demonstrate at other fairs, festivals, and special occasions. Chainsaw carving demonstration will be on-going throughout both days of the festival.
