The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute will be launching a fundraiser raffle featuring a handmade Zimnicki guitar. Tickets will are available at a cost of 1 for $5 or 5 for $20.
Gary Zimnicki is a world renowned luthier (Guitar maker) from Allen Park, MI. Gary has been building guitars, mandolins and ukuleles since 1979. In 2011 he began crafting instruments from wood removed from houses in Detroit. These exceptional instruments pay tribute to the history of Detroit and the craftsmen who built the homes. The acoustic guitar to be raffled has a sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides, with a triple O body style. It values over $5,000.
The raffle winner will be drawn at Clinton Fall Festival in Clinton, MI on September 24, 2023 between 5pm-7pm at the main stage.
